Memorial Day Weekend Fun

This past weekend was chalk full of activity and all fun stuff! Colin was so excited to be around his favorite kid friends and was beaming from ear to ear the entire time. There is nothing sweeter than seeing little ones play and make each other laugh...that is until someone takes "my toy"... It can all change in a glance I suppose! :)

Colin meets baby Cassandra. He was so in awe of her and very gentle. A good sign for a few weeks from now!!

Our sweet family of 3

Boy are times a-changing. Baby #2 will be making his debut soon and it makes me appreciate and soak in the moments where I am just Colin's mama. No doubt, we are so excited to meet this little guy who most definitely is a soccer player or gymnast based on his active nature, but I look at Colin and just want to make every moment count while life is a bit simpler. That said, I am also so looking forward to seeing Colin with his new baby brother. He is so sweet with my belly and although only 2 years old, it seems he definitely has SOME concept of a baby in my belly. He talks to my belly, hugs and smooches my belly and gives "gentles" regularly. And then just like a toddler, he is off to do something fun and very 2 year old-like. These days, it's a lot of dancing to his "elmo music"!
36.5 weeks pregnant!

Colin loves his baby brother!

Sesame Street and particularly ELMO songs are his favorite. "Daddy dance too" ... Colin

Happy Dancin' Boy!

PS Happy 25 months my little sweet pea!

Weekend relaxation

We had a lot of fun down in San Diego this weekend... And as you can see, Colin had his first ping pong lesson from Auntie Tay Tay so he can prepare to take on Pa in the coming years.

Mothers Day

Two years ago today, Mothers Day moved to #1 as my favorite holiday. How can anything compare to the celebration of being a Mama? Today was simple and perfect- a day spent with my boys and quick visit with my sister who surprised me with a painting she assisted Colin with last weekend when he stayed with her. And Morgan spoiled me with sweet gifts and just plain sweetness...

Yes, nothing like Mothers Day... special moments appreciating the best gift in the world- my baby and soon to be #2.

We visited Farmers Market this morning for some yummy lunch,
fresh fruits to take home and Colin's 1st pony ride

Mikayla Noelle

Our niece has arrived, safe and sound! What an incredible little miracle, and she is perfect! Meagan delivered Mikayla at 9:14pm on Monday night, May 4th and she weighed in at 6 lbs, 9 oz, 19.5 inches. She has lots of light hair, sure to be blond like her mommy as well as her mommy's pouty lips and little nose. And she is all daddy in the eyes.

Welcome to the world Mikayla. We love you!
