Mr. Colie Walker

So about two weeks ago, Colin graced us with a couple steps. He toddled from the coffee table to the couch and we sat stunned. A few days later (right before I went to NY), he cruised about 4 or 5 steps and when I got off the plane Saturday, I truly came home to a surprise: Colin walked the room length to reach me - which of course was followed by my floodgates... !! He is now confidently walking everywhere and I think he has crawled once or twice total in the last few days... clearly of little interest now that our little Frankie (as in Frankenstein) gets to where he needs to be upright. This is a huge milestone and it cracks me up yet makes me cry as I watch him develop!

I miss my boys!!

I've been in NY all week for work, and can't wait to get home tomorrow. 6 days is too long to be away from my baby... ESPECIALLY when typical, he is taking MANY steps now evidently. C&M, can't wait to see you. I miss you and love you!!

Happy Father's Day

We had a great day with our family today - we definitely explored as we took the train to the Long Beach Aquarium, then just spent time on the grassy hills overlooking the water... such special time together. I am so grateful to have a husband who is so dedicated to our family and who is an incredibly loving and warm daddy!!

Oh and not to forget how we started the morning off... Colin and I surprised the papa bear by being his cheering team during his weekly hockey game. Colin came in uniform and all!

The perfect beach day!

Today we hit the beach with Auntie Tam and Uncle Steve! Colin had an absolute blast sticking his toes in the sand (and well, eating the sand too)...and we so enjoyed watching him literally laugh out loud as the tide came up over his feet. Such a fun day!And what a difference a year makes... last summer's 1st beach trip with a 4 month old, Colin!

Mama's Birthday

What a nice birthday I had yesterday. 36 does not bother me whatsoever, it's just more odd to think of myself mid-30's and approaching 40...yikes! My boys brought me breakfast in bed, sent flowers to work and planned such a special evening. When I got home, there was a note asking me to come upstairs. I walked out onto our deck where white lights, music, wine, sparkling apple cider and dinner on the grill was awaiting me. We enjoyed a nice meal, and then we danced and sang and played until we were all sweaty. What special moments... Thank you Morgan and Colin for being so thoughtful as always!! xoxo

A Healthy Family Again!

Luckily, Morgan's ickiness was short lived and by Friday he was back to normal and all was healthy again in our home. We enjoyed a weekend of beautiful weather as well as good friends.
