Fall fun!

Oh how I love this time of year. Crisp weather, pumpkins, cider, and a legit reason to dress crazily! Last night we went to Peltzer Farms for pumpkin pix, petting zoo, train rides and pony riding fun. And tonight, I followed in my own mama's tradition of kid halloween parties. We enjoyed chili, salad, corn bread, hot apple cider, pumpkin muffin decorating for the wee ones, and great company. The kids were darling, and I was very proud of the adults who rocked their costumes too!

Life is Good

For years, I would still be fast asleep at 8:00am on Sunday mornings. But now, we are long awake and welcoming the day. And I love it.

This morning, it was slightly overcast with a crisp fall air that couldn't be denied. When many were still snoozing, our sweet family of four was outside oohing and ahhing as we watched two giant hot air balloons hovering over our home. The kids waived crazily to the people above, and they yelled and waived back. That's how close they were to us! It was a neat moment, and one where you just take a deep breath in, look around at how awesome life is, and exhale. We then went for a long family walk and were home by 9:30am. Good morning, world! :)

Jr Sports

Last week while I was in New Jersey, Colin began his 8 week intro to sports program. Morgan told me all about the 50 minute session, detailing how adorable the kids were as they introduced themselves ("I'm Colin and I had banana, vitamins, water, milk, muffin, cereal for breakfast"), stretched, and learned a thing or two about flag football. This past Saturday I was able to take it all in myself, and just grinned non-stop at the cuteness! The next weeks will be filled with soccer, T ball and track and field. And it seems, the next many YEARS will include this Saturday morning ritual. What a fun way to spend Saturday mornings! And although never in sports myself, I kinda like the idea of being a soccer mom ;)

STRETCHING!

Gone is Summer

It feels like this summer went by in a blur. I'm not sure if it was because we never truly had typical summer weather - more like one month of warmth followed by cooler, crisper days and straight into fall,- or because we were too busy having so much fun with extended family and cousins Keaton, Stella & Mikayla, friends, vacations and our own sweet family... But all the same, as fast as it went by, the time I would have liked to document with photos also seemed to slip through my fingers. Now that my big fundraising event has passed, I'm catching up on "life"...and just in time to begin getting ready for the holidays. Life is grand and magical! Here are some fun shots from our last month or so...
