Our little Logan Finley O'Bryant arrived beautiful and healthy at 5:25am, Sunday June 21, 2009. We are so overwhelmed with love for this little guy, and it's true what they say: the second time is just as special! I am feeling especially grateful for a natural birth assisted by our incredible midwife who was by my side, and massaging my lower back non-stop from the moment I arrived UCLA (around 11pm on 6/20) and 5 cm dialated until he arrived 6.5 hours later. What a difference in having ZERO limiting IV's etc. as I was able to move freely, get into whatever position was most comfortable and ultimately deliver on my side with fewer tears than with Colin who was a full 3 lbs tinier.
And best of all, nursing is going wonderfully. He is a great eater, and I am happy to be nursing him non-stop as my supply establishes. Lots of support in this area which makes my heart smile!!
Our sweet family of 4 feels well, just incredible, and Morgan and I are in awe of every dimension of sweetness we are experiencing. A special time, that is for sure!!
