Our first garden

Today was a great day spent building our very own garden. We didn't take on anything too huge, but it turned out to be a lovely little space filled with 2 types of tomatoes, eggplant, bell peppers, basil, serrano chili peppers, jalapeno peppers, and cilantro. We also have 3 sweet strawberry bushes that are in their own beautiful pot that sits next to our raised bed.






It was a great bonding experience with the contributions of our sweet family of four as well as my dad. Carving out the area, putting together the box, 3 trips to the nursery for a total of 11 bags of organic mixed soil, fertilizing and then planting our organic seedlings... it was a really neat process. I'm so excited to see how it all grows and comes to life!!
