This past week has been full of changes! To start, this past Saturday, January 19th- one day shy of Colin's nine month birthday, he decided to crawl. Joe Gall, Auntie Tam and Steve were there to witness this sacred event with us. Because we know how much he loves electronic gadgets- cell phones, real phones, remote controls and more, we tempted and lured him with a phone. Poof! He took off and successfully completed a perfect crawl across the play mats. Amazing!
And today, was another big event... Colie had his nine month appt with his pediatrician. He was termed in perfect health and development...but of course we already knew this! We learned about all the new foods he can begin having, weighed in at 20 pounds even (48th percentile) and 27 1/4 inches long (25th percentile)... Sadly, we had to watch as he received his first vaccination...HIB. We are so glad we waited to slowly introduce these though.... and although he cried momentarily after his shot, he handled it much better than his mama and papa (daddy tried everything in his power to sneak out as he couldn't handle the thought of his babe in pain, but mama insisted he stay :) )... when it was done, we had a family hug and within a minute or two, tears still on his cheeks, he was back to his happy self squealing with happiness.

Ah, he is crawling!! Yay!! That is so funny that he is going for the cell phone. ;-)
